The clinic is located opposite Helios City, on the 1st floor of the building. 1st door - COVID tests; 2nd door - clinic, blood tests, vaccinations, family doctors; 3rd door - clinic, lab. tests, vaccinations, specialist doctors. Parking spaces are available in front of the clinic doors.

FAQ: Specialist doctor consultations – types and payment

What types of consultations are available?

  1. Initial consultation – the first visit regarding a specific health issue or the reason indicated in the referral.

  2. Follow-up consultation – a repeat visit for the same issue after the initial consultation.

  3. Remote consultation – a consultation provided by phone or video call.

  4. Out-of-hours consultation (PDL) – a consultation provided outside the doctor’s regular working hours.

When is a consultation FREE (reimbursed by PSDF)?

An initial consultation is free for the patient only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The patient has a valid referral to a specialist doctor.

  • The service is included in the list of PSDF reimbursable services.

  • Affidea has a valid contract with the Territorial Health Insurance Fund (TLK) for this service.

  • The patient is covered by compulsory health insurance (PSD) on the day of the consultation.

  • The patient is registered for a PSDF consultation in accordance with TLK regulations.

  • The quota for the specific service has not been exhausted.

  • The consultation takes place during the doctor’s regular working hours.

Note: If at least one condition is not met, the consultation becomes PAID.

When is an initial consultation paid?

An initial consultation is paid if at least one of the following conditions applies:

  • There is no referral, or the referral is invalid.

  • The referral is issued by a healthcare institution that does not have a contract with TLK.

  • Affidea does not have a contract with TLK for this specific service.

  • The patient is not covered by compulsory health insurance (PSD) on the day of the consultation.

  • The patient chooses a paid consultation.

  • The patient does not want to wait in the PSDF queue.

  • The consultation takes place during additional/out-of-hours working time (PDL).

  • The patient requests a specific doctor who does not provide PSDF-funded consultations.

Follow-up consultation – paid or free?

A follow-up consultation is paid.

A follow-up consultation may be free only in exceptional cases:

  • when discussing one imaging examination that was prescribed during an Affidea initial consultation

  • when the examination shows no abnormalities and no additional comments are needed

  • when the discussion lasts up to 5 minutes

or

  • a short comment (by phone or in person) up to 5 minutes, which is considered part of the initial consultation

Remote consultation – paid or free?

A remote consultation is treated the same as a standard in-person consultation.

Payment depends on whether it is registered as a PSDF-funded consultation or a paid consultation.

An out-of-hours consultation (PDL) is always paid.
